Amazon may be my favorite company… that is until they recruited the husband of one of my closest friends and enticed them to move across the country. Not to be deterred, we crashed their place for five days which ended up as an incredible family vacation including a stay on a horse farm, a visit to Pike’s Place (home to fish throwing), and a “the Hill’s are Alive” hike up Hurricane Ridge. Oh, and a family photography session.
Family vacation photos to come, for now here are Tara, Jeremy and their minions who have been observed doing dishes, sweeping and taking out the garbage.
This is an excellent example of the “3 Color Approach.” With larger group it’s often easiest to choose a set of coordinating colors and tell people to wear only those colors (no exceptions!). If you happen to have matching dresses that’s even better… unless you have a boatload of boys.
Choosing a location was also straightforward since Tara and Jeremy love beaches, nature and hiking and live on an island. We opted for the less crowded, slimier location since having random people in the background is less attractive than slime. There were some “eww” moments, but we had the place to ourselves.
The ferry graced us with it’s presence. Its arrival is akin to the rising and the setting of the sun elsewhere.
After all of this excitement Jeremy flipped the camera. My kids were MUCH less cooperative! More pictures to come.
