Chili NY Senior Portrait Photography ~ Sarah
Sarah’s mom stressed pretty extensively about the location because we HAD to have a grand piano! The piano teacher was an option, but she was super busy, then there was a friend’s house which didn’t work out. Finally the very kind people at Robert’s Wesleyan College allowed us to use a room of theirs with a grand piano in it. We nearly had heart attacks when it appeared the room was locked, it was pouring outside and the building appeared to be vacant, but a second good yank on the door opened it. I also learned that grand pianos are very heavy – even on wheels.
Sarah chose to integrate her passion for music into her senior portraits by playing a beautiful grand piano during her session. I could have actually just listened to her play for a few hours. This is a great way to add some style to your images.
Another great move Sarah made was to invite a close friend along. This is especially great if you haven’t had pictures taken of you since second grade because being on the wrong end of a camera makes you run.
Sarah and Amber spent the day shopping at consignment shops for clothes that matched, and Sarah brought along a couple different outfits for variety (another aspect of adding style). She wore a cami and shorts so she could change in full view of traffic. It was impressive!
And she was very happy when it was all over! It was almost painless. Have a wonderful year Sarah!
