In the past I have been a Halloween Scrooge. I know quite a few people object to Halloween on principle and I don’t necessarily disagree with their thoughts about it. I’m not one for bats and skeletons. But we moved to a cul-de-sac style neighborhood where everyone knows each other and suddenly costumes and candy took on new meaning. Today was a momentous day – I took the kids to pick out their costumes.
Eli didn’t stand a chance between his older sister and I. He actually seemed to enjoy his giraffe costume for a while. We’ll see how he does the night of!
But it did get me thinking about how those chubby cheeks will thin out and he’ll start having an opinion and arguing with me and suddenly will have grow into a person.
And you’re proud of them too, but holy cow where did the time go?
Pretty soon they’re big enough that the pickings at Kid 2 Kid are slim and they can pick up babies. Photography is something easy to put off and easy to regret not having done.
So that’s my little bit of nostalgia for today. Mini sessions are now open for general registration (e.g. people not on the email list). You can grab your spot by clicking the image below, and then you’ll be committed to checking it off your to do list!
