Newborn sessions tend to run long, but who cares about time when you’re hanging out with people like Sue and Martín? Sue not only graces the pages of Beautiful Birth Choices where she teaches yoga and is a doula, but has also lived all over the world and does consulting work for NGOs. Her post partum brain wasn’t accessing statistics as quickly as she wanted it to, but she was a wealth of knowledge regarding maternal and infant health in the developing world nonetheless.
She and her husband Martín, have a lovely compliant-for-photos 4 year old named Mateo, who was recently joined by Mia.
Mateo is pretty much thrilled to be a big brother.
When I first pulled up to their house it sounded like Martín was speaking Spanish, but it also sounded a little Italian. It turns out he’s Argintinian. Apparently they speak quickly and with a heavy accent, and if Martín’s culinary skills are any indication, they also make fantastic smoothies.
In case their family wasn’t quite fascinating enough, Martín is a tatoo artist. He also whipped up the painting hanging on their wall in the above photo, because something needed to go there, but said he wasn’t really an artist.
Sue said she really appreciated images that show scale.
In the above images, Mia is on a blanket given to Sue by her grandfather.
Sue and Martín, it was an absolute pleasure meeting your beautiful family. Congratulations!
